Frightening Rainforest Deforestation Facts

We should all be worried about Rainforest Deforestation and Climate Change!

Some of the facts are really frightening and none more so than rainforest deforestation CO2 emissions.

Did you know that the process of destroying the rainforest releases more CO2 than every car, plane and ship combined in the world?

The rainforests also act as filter and protect us from man-made emissions by storing a fifth of all those emissions from the world.

We must combat climate change and stopping rainforest deforestation is essential for all our well being and for the generations to come.

Amazon Rainforests Destruction Continues...

The Amazon cattle business continues to expand and threatens the remaining 80% of the Amazon Rainforest.

Cattle derived products from the Amazon Rainforest end up in many countries around the world and find their way into a multitude of foodstuffs, and footwear.

An estimated 3 million acres of Brazilian Amazon Rainforest was destroyed between 2007-2008 in addition to the one fifth already lost.

Rainforest Conservation Campaign Project
